Shama Mrema is our resident scholar—both as defined by his rank on Audible and our own assessment. (But mainly by Audible). As a Director, you'll find him taking charge on set, casting vision, and using all his wits to make clients the perfect video.

Originally from Tanzania, East Africa, Shama was born to missionary parents and spent his early years between Tanzania and the United States. After moving to the U.S. for college, he found his way to the comedy stage, combining his childhood experiences to provide a fresh take on America, southern foods, and observations with friends. But after starting a YouTube channel to fuel his comedy, Shama knew he wanted to do more. He soon shifted his focus beyond the laughs to scripting, acting, and directing videos, and eventually caught the attention of the Let People See family. His outgoing and charismatic personality is a big win on set, and we're excited to have him on board!

When not directing or writing, you can find Shama in front of the camera working on a new routine, downtown at the comedy club, or at Chick-fil-A. If he's not at Chick-fil-A, it's probably Sunday and he's at Zaxby's. "Everybody always hates on Zaxby's until it's Sunday and you want some chicken." —Shama :)
